FHSE Youth Softball Player Development Overview

The FHSE Youth Softball league is focused on developing our girl's softball skills in season and between seasons.  We offer many options throughout the year so please watch the website and Twitter feed for dates and details.  Throughout the Spring, Summer and Early Fall months we will offer these hitting, pitching or fielding training at Olio Fields.  In the Winter we move indoors to the FHSE Indoor Facility, see the map to the right.

Taylor University Softball Camp

UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor University softball program will host its eighth-annual softball clinic on January 13, inside the Kesler Student Activities Center. The clinic is open to girls ages six through 18.
Date: January 13
Time: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Where: Kesler Student Activities Center
Ages: Girls ages six through 18
Cost: $50 (shirt included)

The TU program is excited to share its knowledge and passion for the game of softball. The clinic is designed to allow individuals to focus on the fundamentals of each phase of the game by working closely with Taylor players and coaches. Campers will learn a variety of drills to practice and improve their game and will participate in a series of skills-assessment drills at the end of each session.

The clinic on January 13 will go from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm and will include the following schedule:
1:00 pm – 1:30 pm: Warm-Up and Throw
1:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Three One-Hour Sessions (Offense, Defense, Pitching)
4:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Closing

Campers are asked to bring their own equipment and to dress in proper attire to be inside the KSAC facility or outside on the field, weather permitting. All pitchers are asked to bring their own catcher.

The cost of the clinic is $50. If planning to attend, please visit the links provided above for online registration. In addition to the online registration, participants may also register at the door.

Open Practice Sessions through 3/25/2018 @Indoor Facility

FREE Open Field Sessions for all Fishers/HSE Registered Youth Softball Players!  The intent of the OPEN FIELD Sessions is for you to work with your player on their softball skills. Players under 16 are to have a parent or guardian present during the entire stay.  Drop-offs are not allowed.

You are able to register for multiple one-hour sessions on the same day. For safety reasons, we do limit each hour to 20 participants.

All players are responsible for bringing their own equipment including balls, bats, helmets, etc. Batting helmets are required to be worn while using the batting cages.  

In order to participate, you must:

  • Must be registered for the 2018 Fishers/HSE Youth Softball League.  Register here.
  • Acknowledge the WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY (by selecting Submit and Signup below)

1900 East Broadway Street, Fortville, IN 46040 **Even though the address is “Broadway”, you MUST go south on County Road 750 West to get to the building. It is a beige pole barn. Again, you can NOT turn into the parking area directly off of Broadway/Rte 67.
